The Process Of Obtaining Tier 2 Sponsor Licence

 

The Tier 2 sponsor license, that was established by UKVI is essential for companies located in UK that want to emloy talented overseas staff. The first step towards the licence is Tier 2 sponsor licence application to UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI). All non-EEA nationals must have a job offer from an employer before coming to the UK. The Process & Timeline Of Obtaining Sponsor Licence

1. The Preparation of the documents

The UK Company have to collect all relevant documents within the necessary departments. All documents must be originals or should have naturized copies.

2. Running Mock Immigration Audit

As part of its assessment of whether company is capable of carrying out sponsor duties, the UKVI may visit the company. UKVI will inspect the recruitment processes and human resources procedures and will interview the relevant employees to ask their questions.

3. The Submission of Sponsor License Application Form and Home Office Interview

The third step is Sponsor License Application Form and Home Office Interview. The UK Company basically is able to apply for a license online. At the end of the application, the company will need to print out the submission sheet and post it to UKVI with all other documents. UKVI will receive the documents within 5 working days and will process the application within 8 weeks. 

4. The License Approval and Validation

After the sponsor license application is approved, the company will be granted an A-rated sponsor license that will work for 4 years. After this, they can start assigning Certificates of Sponsorship to migrants will be listed under the register of sponsors. 

Appointed person within a company will be given the Sponsor Management System (SMS) access. This is an online portal where they can manage their license. 

They must also use the system to report certain events, such as if a migrant fails to report to work.
